1st-4th(no particular order as it being in order like last year gives me memories of being excited for 2015): Sharks, Panthers, Broncos and Cowboys.

Okay, from now on...

5.Warriors
6.Manly
7.Melbourne
8.Parra

9.Souths
10.Roosters
11.Bulldogs
12.Dragons
13.Raiders
14.Knights
15.Tigers
16.Titans

Souths and Roosters on the decline...Bulldogs tumbling down due to squad being average at best, and their boring slow anti-rugby league style being more and more outlawed by new rules and lowering of the amount of interchanges allowed.

My ideal ladder would look like this

1. Penrith Panthers - Undefeated minor premiers / premiers

16. Parra - 0 wins

Who cares how the in between works out :woohoo:

A perfect world would ALSO have parra deducted 20 pts for breaking the cap.

Parra -20 at the end of 2016.

I'm not really sure on where to put a few teams but I am willing to say I expect Penrith to finish between 6th and 8th.

LOL

I'm always telling people I know (notice i didn't call them mates) who support those idiots that they should be penalised at the kick off for turning up, when the Captain says something to the ref he gets sent off for dissent, they should play every game with 12 at the maximum.......

When you get kicks from coming into another teams forum, simply to troll them, you need more substance in life....

2016 Ladder Predictions 1 year 4 months ago #24451

thought it would be worthwhile to revisit this thread.

Its good to reflect back on who most thought would be in the final 8 comes years end with 2 notables as standouts who will miss and miss badly being Souths and Roosters.

The Top 4 currently will definitely be there

Sharks
Storm
Cowboys
Broncos

With Eels to be related i believe there are now only 5 teams left to fight out the remaining 4 places.

Bulldogs
Titans
Warriors
Raiders
Panthers

Tigers could make it if they have an unbelievable run but think it is still out the 5 nominated

Broncos and Cowboys are on 18 points with the chasing bunch on

16 Bulldogs
15 Raiders
14 Warriors
14 Titans
14 Panthers

In the remaining 12 rounds we play 2 teams ahead of us in the Comp........Broncos, Sharks and we have another bye.

Oddly we play Tigers twice in the remaining 12 rounds, we also face Titans,Warriors and Eels

We play Souths and Roosters, Knights and Sea Eagles in the last round.....all below us in the comp.

Without considering the results of others IF we are the real deal you would have to think we beat Souths,Roosters,Eagles and Knights and these are at home.

The Broncos and Sharks will be heard but Broncos are away and Sharks are at home so give us 1 of those.

Which gets is 26 points including the bye

Eels will either be playing with passion or will have turned it up and this game looms as a huge threat but is at home.

we play Titans away in and 25 and they will either be playing for a finals spot or their year will be over so this game could go either way

which leads to the 2 games against the Tigers.

they are unpredictable and can score from anywhere but do play well when confident but i believe we should get them in both games

which gets us on 30 points with the results of the Titans and Eels games not built into my numbers.

we win both those we end up on 34 points and we are in the 8

results of others will have an impact as to how the 8 looks with experts saying 28 will get you in.

would be nice to finish 5th or 6th because if the Top 4 looks remains as it is..playing Storm in Melbourne or Sharks at Cronulla would not be games to look forward to whoever finishes 7th or 8th

I still think however whoever finishes 5th or 6th can still win this

Raiders have the edge to finish 5th as they have the odd point from the draw.......and hope we get 6th which if the Top 4 stays as is we would play Broncos in Brisbane and i think we would be a strong chance in that game.

Anyway i see us in the Top 8.......then its game on!

Injuries to certain key playmakers in the Top 4 team will have a major bearing on their ability in the Finals with probably Sharks least affected by the loss of a key playmaker.

28 is usually the cut off for 8th (although I have seen it as low as 25 & high as 30), sometimes for & against comes into the equation too. With Parra losing points 26 may be enough with a good for & against. 28 should be almost definite.

I didn't do too badly, I won the pool at work where you pick where you think your team would finish in the season.

6th to 8th was where I thought at the start of the season, but when massive changes were made, I felt that we would fall short of the 8.

But moving in Cleary and moving Wallace to Hooker was a masterstroke. This team looks like it could go all the way this year, and even if they don't, for the 2017 prediction, I'm locking in 1st.
