Daz posted on Twitter earlier that Robert Jennings has re-signed, unsure of his source.

Can anyone update me regarding:

Brent Naden
Janayah Freeman
Logan Geyer

Are they still in the mix for 2014?

I believe they may be too old for next seasons Sgball squad

Freeman, Naden and Geyer will most likely move into our Holden Cup squad next year.

I was basing my statement on Jennings re-signing on seeing the list above.

Way too many kids invited to trial IMO. Should be 50 max.

I agree Daz there is way to much players trialling for maybe 15 positions. Will be very hard to fill the talent of last years squad...Any serious candidates from that list Daz?

10 have already been picked so that leaves about 15 positions as you said.

We will get 4-5 from NSW Country, Interstate or NZ. IMO we need to purchase a backrower from outside the district, possibly a fullback too. We are right for front rowers, hookers, halves and outside backs.

4-5 Under 17's will be chosen. Broadbridge, Fialelei, Izzard and Graham would be chances?

Then some other 18's from Harold Matts in 2012. Players like Laloua Tui, Milgate, Collins, Harrison, Ennis etc will come into calculations.

Bulk re-signings of local juniors announced by PDJRL on Facebook

Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Bryce Cartwright, Oliver Clark, Cowan Epere, Kieran Moss, Peter Tiatia and DWZ all re-signed with the Panthers.

Robert Jennings from Minchinbury Jets has also re-signed with the Panthers.

Brilliant news. There's our future right there folks. Gotta zip now.

Not if Phil Gould has anything to say about it BUDAH.
Discussing with him (last night) the young players earmarked for future stardom with the Panthers First Grade, he named Robert Jennings as 1 of 3 players regarded as a retention priority. He didn't say it exactly but I got the impression young Robert has already had the new logo tatooed on his butt.

Yet another announcement just made. This kid was very impressive on the occasions that I saw him play this year. Great work Panthers.

The Penrith Panthers have re-signed highly rated outside back Nayah Freeman for a further two seasons.

Freeman was chased by several rival clubs but chose to stay loyal to the club who signed him as a 15 year old from the country town of Young.

A NSW CCC rep in 2013, Freeman is blessed with blistering speed. He is a dangerous ball runner who showed in SG Ball this year that he is capable of scoring long range tries.

He is likely to move into our Holden Cup squad next season.

Who were the other 2 Shazza? Cartwright and DWZ?

I think Cartwright & DWZ were a given Daz, he was referring to young Robert's vintage: Ollie Clark, Tyrone May and Robert.
Cheers

A couple of months ago I watched a brilliant attacking young half playing in the CRL under 16 championship, his name DERYK HAY (Gundagai).
At the conclusion of the carnival he was selected in the CRL Under 16 team at halfback.

Tyrone May is signed till 2014,if Shazza says Phil Gould has earmarked him as 1 of the 3 poised for future first grade stardom then I hope they lock him away soon.

I think Gus is expecting a lot more First Graders to come from our junior ranks than just those three Jack but they are obviously the current standouts.
A lot of potential superstars have fallen by the wayside between Mathews and First-grade but May, Jennings and Clark obviously have a lot more potential than most. We'll know more by the end of season 2014 because the expectation is that all three will be playing 20's once their junior rep commitments are finished.

I think Gus's introduction of the Players Academy highlighting future NRL stars will do these young lads well.
Not only with enhancing their natural talent but also nurturing their careers along & teaching them the trappings which comes with success & potential.
I believe Robert Jennings,Tyrone May & Oliver Clarke will have a standout season in SGBALL next year & hope to see them continue on & further their potential in the 20's after their junior commitments.

It will be good to have Soni Hala back for a full season in SG Ball next year too. Clark, Hala and Cowen Epere are going to steamroll teams up the middle.

Jack, I expect the three you mentioned to join Holden Cup as soon as SG Ball finishes. This year was the first year in a long time where no SG Ball players got a game with 20's/Flegg in the same season.

Oliver Clark was training with the 20's but wasn't allowed to play until mid August when he turned 17. However he hurt is ankle in July which has ruled him out for 3 months anyway.
