The young Panthers had another strong win on the weekend, 36-10, against a usually competitive Cowboys outfit.

Nathan Cleary, looking and playing more like Dan Carter every time I see him, put in another beautifully controlled, thoroughly professional performance. Tyrone May, as always, also contributed massively to the win. He's just a really good footballer.

Props Cowen Epre and Kayde Ellis worked hard against the big Cowboys forwards and gave their backs plenty of go-forward with some ferocious charges through the rucks. Second Rower Corey Waddell did a remarkably good impersonation of Isiah Yeo and had an outstanding game in attack and defense. New comer Wayde Egan at hooker gave excellent service and also showed plenty of dash out of dummy half.

Live-wire 5/8 Jarome Luai, who has a lot of Preston Campbell about him, continues to impress as did acrobatic winger Ratu Tuisese who bagged a hat-trick of tries with some spectacular finishes. Dylan Edwards, at the back, scored one and set up a couple and centres Braiden Burns and Rob Jennings looked dangerous every time they touched the ball.

All in all it was just another day at the office for this very talented team. The fact that they still have a lot of improvement in them speaks volumes for their chances of defending their U20's crown and must strike apprehension and terror into the hearts of their would be challengers.

.... don't tempt fate Shazza. After that 'wrap' we'll be afflicted with chicken pox, flu, malaria, Ebola, multiple sprains, boils, athletes foot and the inevitable and habitual souf. ;) ;) :P :P :silly: :silly:
