When your stupid mate asks a question that is below his intelligence level
Honestly, I thought Storm & Roosters both looked shot after about 20 mins, and that it was only going to be a matter of who got the bounce of the ball in the end. Can’t see us losing to Storm with us going in rested.
Very sloppy game, error riddled, and poor discipline.
Roosters looked like they had it locked away after the field goal but couldn’t close it out.
Melbourne look tired. I don’t want to seem too confident, but I expect Penrith to put the sword through them next Friday.
My predictions were borderline embarrassing; might need to concentrate on the Melbourne Cup.
Going into finals, the top 4 looked superior to the other finalists & that’s how it’s gone.
1 v 2 looks the likely GF
what’s the hot tip ?
This weekend I’m thinking we will see two contrasting games. Our game against Melbourne will be a hard slog, opening up only in the last 20, if at all.
My tip: Panthers 20-12
The Broncos v Warriors game I’m expecting to be fast & free flowing, with a lot of points from both sides.
My tip: Warriors 28-24
My head will hate to play the Warriors due to the fact all the neutrals will ride their bandwagon.
My heart though wants nothing more than seeing the Wahs wipe the smirk off Walsh’s face.
And if worse comes to worse tonight, I’d cheer on the Wahs on tele against the Storm in the GF, Broncos v Storm I wouldn’t bother watching
Well that didn’t go how I expected… not that I’m complaining
It won’t matter who we play, nobody is on our bandwagon. We are the new pariahs.
Judging by some absolute howler decisions in the Broncos v Warriors match, I would say with almost certainty that Adam Gee will get nod to man the whistle for the Grand Final.
The Jordan Riki try tonight was the perfect example of why the bunker needs to be able to rule on forward passes. There were two, and neither were anywhere near being line ball. I get that camera angles can be deceptive, but there would not have been any camera angles they could have made those look legitimate.
That first forward pass was obvious, the receiver was 5m ahead of Walsh. The bunker can rule on offside and penalties yes? No excuse even under the existing rules.
Calls (or non calls) on this are a blight on the game. They can rule on the most marginal knock on, yet won’t rule the most blatant forward pass.
The technology exists to track players in the field, the NFL use it routinely.
Clubs already use similar technology for performance analysis and share this data with the NRL for statistics.
It’s not that hard to get realtime, accurate, positional data that could detect a forward pass.
I guess the real question would be would it slow the flow of the game… that would need to be worked out.
Nailed it.
My prediction is that Alfie Langer will play the full 80 minutes.
Normally the advocate is a joke, but this time it read oh so true.
This weekends rounds seem for bothing but extra ticket sales in the NRL coffers lol
For what it’s worth I am picking the Cowboys and Sea Eagles to provide the fodder next weekend
For a while now I have had the feeling that we will roll Manly in the grand Final. Would be nice to exact revenge over the Storm though.
