KNOCK ON EFFECT NSW CUP

JERSEY FLEGG CUP

We cannot lose to these gumbies again…I will have to give away footy :sob:

Why oh why are Jennings and Staines in team…I’d be giving Jenkins or Turuva a chance at centre and brining in another forward on the bench either of the Smiths or Hopwood…the bench looks a little light with both Salmon and Staines. What does everyone else think?

Once again I do hope this is Turuva’s chance for debut.

I’d have Turuva, Jenkins and Staines ahead of Jennings at Centre.

Turuva in for Jennings, and Leota to start with Staines 18th man…here’s hoping

Updated Team List

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has updated his squad for Friday night’s match against Parramatta Eels at CommBank Stadium.

There are no changes to the starting side, while Sunia Turuva and Moses Leota remain on an extended bench.

terrible we have Luai out and the team just doesn’t look right to me

If Jennings is the best centre we have after Crichton we are in real trouble…and Staines is not a first grader which says even more about our depth.

I am also confused by Eisenhuth who was impotent last week against a side which had nothing in the forwards

Eels do have some punch and guile in the forwards.

Is Falls injured?

despite all this we should have way too much for the Eels who in mind are pretenders and have slipped from last years effort.

This is a must win for them so expect some real bang early as they will try what Sharks did last week.

also i suspect the ref may play a part in tonights result…just think they may want to stamp their authority after last weeks terrible calls

I’m done, two farward passes in that try, an obstruction on the previous, and Cleary to probably get 6-8 weeks

well Cleary deserved to be sent off, it was dangerous and ugly.
not sure what he will get but it was as dumb a play as you will ever see and he has crippled his side.

the best we can do now is not to get lapped but feel we are about to be absolutely belted and this score could get ugly

I am in shock Cleary even did what he did.

This now presents a great challenge for the team.
First we have to mitigate the damage and try and stop an absolute belting.
The next test will be for no other player to go on report or be sent off due to tiredness or exasperation.
Some of our players will need to play big minutes and we also now have to avoid injury to any key players.
Nothing for us to play for now except for pride…but we look absolutely lost and if Parr keep the tempo at this rate they will roll over us at the back end.

Not much to be said really. Once Cleary got marched it was pretty much game over.

The thing that shits me is that NAS made an almost identical tackle in the earlier game & only got put on report. No consistency.

The lack of policing forward passes is doing my head in.

This can only go one of two ways, yes we may be excused if they put 50+ on us, but should we turn this around and at least make a game of it, the reward will be remembered forever.

Keep your heads up boys

Jennings and Staines in the 17. Why?

Love the fact Liam M. never looks happy. A true competitor

We can hold our heads high following that second half

A better effort in the second half. You have to wonder what would have happened if we stepped up as soon as Cleary was marched instead of just the second half.

Cleary looking at 3 weeks (grade 2) or 5 weeks (grade 3) if he takes the early plea, a week extra if he fights & loses.

:mega: Panther Pride Man of the Match voting is now open here.

Extremely disappointed !
Our depth will be tested over coming weeks no doubt about that.
No Cleary or Luai, opposition will smell blood in the water and be in for the kill.
Have we got what it takes to stand up and be counted?
