Discussions have begun re the timing of our qualifying final game, whether we finish 1st or 2nd.
As our game this week is on Sunday, we likely won’t be asked to play Fri night. Similarly, the warriors won’t be playing Fri night as an 8pm Sydney timeslot for TV, would be 10pm Auckland time.
I’m suggesting the Warriors game will be 5:30pm Sydney time on Saturday ie 7:30pm local time.
So likely we will host at Commbank 7:30pm Sat, or 4pm Sunday.
I don’t follow the Tigers, and don’t really care how they go, but I don’t think that I’ve seen a team so badly dudded by the officials as last weekend. No wonder Benji gave them a serve. My fear is that, if the footy gods turn around, or if the NRL feels pressured to make up for their diabolical performance in that match, then there will be pressure to give any line-ball decisions in their favour this Sunday. Mind you, being treated like shit by the NRL is nothing new for us, so I guess we’ll have to wear it.
Does that imply that IC and his team place a high value on the minor premiership? If not, then you’d expect that they might rest Edwards and Yeo at the very least. And, are Edgar & Tago injured or suspended?
I pretty sure the marketing and merchandise teams do. Win the minor premiership and no matter who we play we get to wear black through the finals - probably our heritage strip.
Finish second and more likely we are forced to wear pink - we have already won 2024 in a pink jersey.
Back to the team list - are we expecting a hologram of John Farrager take the field for the kick off - like Arrow did lol
Must think injuries have given the guys enough rest lately.
We’ve come off a fair few patchy games with only the dogs lately being a convincing outing. With Kenny coming back and Yeo potentially out, might be a case of more reps with the line up.
A great article about this weeks jersey. Honouring the great John Farragher OAM.
