from what we know JFH should be available and Edwards will miss the game with Concussion protocols

I suspect the only change would be JFH into the squad with Capewell to centre and Crichton back to FB

Outside this i see Cleary sticking pretty solidly to his team as we head into the finals
Whilst we should account for the Tigers its the game after which will have our attention against the Eels.
And we should see our best being available and this includes Too for the Eels game.
This games focus will be about the scoreboard and i don’t mean the for…its the against.
Cleary will want to see the improvement in our defence and being ready from the kick off…we have to be ready and prepare for teams who start fast like Storm and Souths.

I hope we put 50+ on em for payback during SOO

Will also provide a good training run for our attack.

Yes Defensively 0 will be the only acceptable result lol

:mega: Team List and Match Officials have been updated.

Looks like a full strength side has been named, Brian To’o makes an early return and Dylan Edwards looks to have been cleared of that nasty head knock that saw him fail a HIA.

It will remain to be seen if this is the team that actually lines up, but I would imagine they would want a few runs with a full strength squad to get some match fitness into returning players before the semi finals kick off.

If this is the side that will run on, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the Tigers.

Maybe Critta and Momo should swap positions and have Kikau starting from the bench.

Anyway 1-17 is a very strong side.

I suggest Staines in the reserves covering for a possible late scratching of Edwards.

I have no problem with Kenny ahead of Tyrone as 14th man, he added so much energy when ge came on last week

To’o = wow - saying that he wouldn’t be back till the first semi at best, yet he is named 2 weeks out suggests either, his rehab is next level or we are risking a HUGE part of our squad.

My money is on the rehab, Bizza strikes me as a team first specialist.

LATE MAIL

Charlie Staines and Taylan May have been omitted, with winger Brian To’o confirmed to make his return following syndesmosis surgery.

this side is a red hot side and one could argue, its our best and perhaps our finals line up
if form is applied we should easily account for the Tigers but i am sure IC has his eye on the bigger prize and its not the result, its our execution and processes which he will be focussed on.
This was borne out by last nights Eels V Storm game where the eels (in my opinion) played their grand final and Storm were focussed on a "record’ as a opposed to focussing on their processes.

Only needs you to be 10% off and the other mob play out of their skin and you get rolled.

Today i want to see our defensive patterns hold up and our execution in attack begin to sharpen.

Simple to talk about and sounds simple in theory but this is where the other mob want to unsettle us in our game and its how we respond to this which is key.

We showed amazing patience and resilience last week against Souths, a warm up to what we need to be like in the finals.

Last week was the first in our warm ups, i expect to see a larger improvement again today across all areas.

Summary comment - winning would be expected, winning big would be great, but no injuries is really what matters most.

Martin to start, Kikau the bench. Tyrone May onto the bench replacing Kenny as utility.

Both good moves, imho. Kikau off the bench worked a treat last week. I know some posters don"t rate May, but if he is in Cleary’s plans for the finals, he needs some game time & Kenny has played plenty lately.

Go Panthers!!

two tries by props well done.

c’mon you backs, get it together.

reckon Luai should straighten up more before he lets the pill go.

We are winning the game, but I think we are getting ahead of ourselves. At times we look like we are trying to score 50 before we score 20!!!

With the number of player that have stepped out today (mainly in the earlier game), I wonder if the field is a bit narrower than normal? 🤷

interesting observation Mutley !

Nb I wasn’t keen on Pangai but his cameo off the bench produced a barnstorming run that produced a try, well done.

Injury news:

Mutley - right shoulder strain

Caused by punching the air after Leota’s try

whatever happened to the flop ?

Looked a bit clunky in attack, but defence was reasonable. Maybe looking ahead too far?

Wasn’t our best game, we were really sloppy/careless.
Cleary must of put 4 balls down. Are we better for the run.
We’ll find out next week v the Eels.
