Fitter basis his selections on players form from
last weeks games;

Eels have a big win, Cronulla, Souths, Bulldogs all have big losses - Moses in, Hynes, Burton, TPJ, Graham out or not selected.

Penrith have big win, Luai wins the 5/8 role Edwards plays all over Tedesco.

However with a single exception, Fittler goes for loyalty and history with his fullback.

Maybe I’m just being pessimistic, but with the side chosen I feel we might as well just hand Queensland the trophy & let everyone go back to thier clubs.

As far as I’m concerned we can hand the trophy over to Qld in perpetuity. Then we can concentrate on the important issue i.e. the premiership,

There was no way that was a try to Holmes, no grounding by a mile

I don’t care about the result, but Jerome could get a six week suspension grrrrrr

Very silly from Luai. The game was over, no need to take the bait from Walsh.

How did I know this was coming?

It would be interesting to let him do game 3 to see how he goes. We don’t have anything to lose now.

He has something in common with Fittler, they both can’t coach!

Was just thinking, with game 3 being a dead rubber, should both teams rest all players who have played SOO this year, and blood the next group of players?

Just a thought -

With game 3 being a dead rubber, should we have a rule where player who have already played SOO this year can’t play in the game? It would be a chance to give up & coming players and/or overlooked players a run.

I really wish there was a “No Panthers to play in dead rubbers” rule in place. Selfishly I just want to move on with Origin and get this Premiership race back on track.

I had a thought yesterday - post season, let the premiership team play the other state. E.g Penrith v QLD two weeks after the GF.

Much better spectacle than the state of origin. :rofl:
