[2025] R23 Knights v Panthers - Game Day Thread

The first of their two tries came soon after a predictable stupid play from Henry gave them possession. The second came when Tago predictably targeted the man inside him, leaving a two-on-one situation. How many tries have been conceded down that side over the past 4 or so years by a lack of communication and/or trust among those outside backs on that side? Maybe I just don’t get it.

One of Tagos biggest flaws is his rush out in defence.

Great when it works, try time when it doesn’t.

Pretty solid performance. It got a bit loose when the sky’s opened up. But the boys managed to get the game back on track only conceding 2 try’s in that period.

With the loss to the Warriors we will finish in the top 4 this week. We need to pretty much need to win most of the remaining 4 games.

The good part is that it looks like there is still room for improvement and most of our squad is fit.

I am confident we can come up with the points in the 3 game gauntlet coming up.

I thought Tago was pretty solid with the exception of that 1 miss, yes it led to a try, but his effort this week was 10 fold on last week. Loving Papalii ATM, this is what I wanted all year, at least it’s at the right end. Could still prove me right as the buy of the year.

Good win for sure. Impressive performance across the park.

Moving in to 4th is a great effort from all concerned. I loved that they all have just put their head down and got on with the job since the disappointing start to 2025.

Defensively, still a little bit to sort on our right side - Marto, NC, Tago & Bizza. I see most are blaming Tago. but I think it’s not 100% on him. Last week the breaks come through there and he was in the bin at the time  .

Not sure when Yeoy will be back, but seeing the makeup for our best 17 for the big games is going to be interesting.

Win the, hopefully, 7 games for the rest of the season & they will have to hand us the trophy for #5
