Isaah Yeo scans has cleared him of any serious damage. He has a subluxation of the shoulder which will probably see him sidelined this week with the shorter turnaround.
Agree HP, my concern is Liam Martin, should he also be rested? He could not grip in a tackle last week, which is a major concern. IMO we could rest him this week also. Anyway, we will see !
I would have the team watching video of the Bathurst game and the 40-70 minute mark of last weeks game almost non stop. Then show them video of the 22 and 24 grand finals for comparison.
Dont get me wrong I like Eisenhuth great squad player but I dont think he has much impact off the bench…Id prefer him to start and give way to Papali’i once the opposition forwards get weary. Also Id like to see Alamoti given a run and give one of the wingers or centers a rest before the finals.
This is a great take - it also helps Papali’i come on after the heavy hitting at the start of the game has subsided a bit. Eisenhuth can handle the first 10-20 mins better based on what I’ve seen.
Great to see the team bounce back from last week and also Bathurst to close out a game convincingly. It was a funny game though - our defence was huge except for Tago getting burned for a try from about 60m out; but difficult conditions. Our attack wasn’t exactly humming even though we scored a mountain of points, felt a bit clunky still.
Big game by Papali’i, he must read this forum cause he’s shut me up with my shouldn’t start the game and also can’t play with the big guys up front talk. He was immense.
Papalii’s defence was bone-shattering. Watching melbourne last night, i was really impressed with how hard they were running and tackling. So its great to see our boys show that same level of intensity.
They are going to need to be fully at their best in order to beat Melbourne next week.
