I’m not about to lay blame on any on party, but this should be thoroughly investigated by the NRL. How he was allowed to even take the field yet alone cleared in a HIA in game baffles me.
there is a good change that Eli may have played his last game of Rugby League.
Player welfare MUST be the number one priority of the league, this should never have happened and hopefully after the reviews will never happen again.
How we got a player classed as a grade 1 last year, only to pass the assessment, yet with Katoa suffering a sickening head clash, and showing symptoms to all and sundry beggars belief and shows the system is broken.
Not to diminish the issue, but “the divers” in our game have a lot to answer for. It should be a blanket rule, any sign of diminished capability, instantly 10 days. The warmup knock should have ruled him out. These blokes that grab their face, pretend on the ground etc etc, instantly off for 10 days.
