I it just me, or in this mornings game, Munster was halfback, Walsh 5/8, and Cleary basically just used for kicking? Reminded me of that game in the’86 or so where Alexander never got the ball because Wally hogged it

Does Kevvie have a strategy at all for the team - if there is one I can’t figure it out beyond let’s wait till England get tired and then score some points

I think you cracked the code.

The match was a terrible advertisement for our game.

Playing a ‘Test Match’ on a field significantly smaller than regulation & without proper linemarking was an insult to our game. I’m sure that the lack of marking made it difficult for the ref to police the 10 & as a result the teams were offside and in the attacking lines face before they could play football. Clearly this suited the poms, as they are pathetic and would be lapped by any of the top 4 NRL teams, and likely the top SL teams as well.

I can’t believe the tactics, or lack of is a better description I suggest, of the Aussies. Anyone who has watched NRL in the last few (20?) seasons would know that there needs to be someone ‘running the team’ in attack which clearly was not in the Aussies plans, just all run around with little or no structure, making it very easy for the poms to negate any attack.

Call off game 3 and give everyone a well deserved break.

I think this game would have been better served at a more suited venue, from the filed being shorter and the terrible marking, as @mrwalker has said it was impossible to enforce the rules.

The commentators and fans alike struggled to work out what was going on… was Cleary’s kick 40/20? Who knows.

I mean some were critical at the on-field officials, but I think anybody would struggle to find a reference point on the field. The scoreline reflected the clumsy confusing game. Hopefully this venue is blacklisted for future games.

One thing I notice of rugby league games in the Uk is the crowd - mostly 50yo+ men (yes I get the irony as I am in that demographic),

Very few women, very few young people, no children to be seen.

Chalk and cheese compared to an NRL crowd, (or an Australian / NZ rugby or AFL crowd for that matter)
