If the competition started after Round 12…

While true, I think (especially after last weeks win) that what has got us back into the race was returning to the attack that has been so successful for Penrith.

I mentioned this in the Bulldogs Game Day Thread but players setting up 2… 3… 4… different options for the playmaker every play can overwhelm even the best of defensive sides.

The Bulldogs (the #1 defensive side) struggled to keep track of the play, predicting where the play would go overwhelmed them, trying to defend every option exposed their defensive line, and Penrith made them pay.

Steve, that reminds me a lot of our sweeping left side block plays in last years final series (I think it was last year) that drew attention from the ex-halfback NRL commentators.

Shaped for the same play but the outcomes were 2 or 3 different try scorers, depending on when the trigger was pulled on each lead runner.
