Rugby League immortal Johnny (chook) Raper passes away @ 82.
Suffering from dementia for some years now the final whistle sounded 9/2/22. RIP Champion.

I have never heard & can’t find an reference to origin of the chook name. Perhaps it’s origin was not for public consumption?
