We all know that the ‘celebrities’ in the media have no idea of reality. Coming from someone who has lived an all expenses paid life for last 20 years, including the overs he received thru the 2nd contract with Melbourne in the salary cap rort seasons, comes this gem from Slater:

Queensland Origin coach Billy Slater had earlier told Channel 9: “I know Reece personally and I know how much he cops. To be fair, when you pay your $20 ticket to come into a footy game, it doesn’t give you the right to abuse people.

This idiot think it costs $20 to attend NRL games. Maybe it did when he lived in Mackay or played in QLD Cup.

Just like the media buffoons who claimed that someone from Penrith can get to Commbank Stadium in 20 minutes, they have no idea of the real world. Amazing!!

I wonder if he knows that is how much a pie & drink costs at the footy these days, probably thinks you can still get that with a 5a :zany_face:

You can tell Billy doesn’t pay for his tickets.

If you can get out of a game with yourself and a kid and have spent less than $100, you done alright for yourself.

The markup at some of the venues are INSANE. Particularly the ‘Venues NSW’ stadiums (like Commbank Stadium).

I am sure that yahoo News does AI aggregation of news articles, but I thought this thumbnail was amusing.

Using a photo of Uncle Daine Laurie (born 1984) instead of current Panthers player Daine Laurie (born 1999).

Both played for Penrith, so I’m sure the AI was a bit confused and went with the first photo that was found.
