I agree with the article that it is time to review the bench arrangement for NRL.

My suggestion is for a 6 man bench;

2 free interchange players, who will wear identifying arm cuffs when on the bench, and exchange the arm cuff with the player who takes their place of the bench. Unlimited interchange.

4 reserves - once they replace an on-field
Player, the replaced player can no longer enter the field of play for the reminder of game (excepting an HIA).

This is a kind of blend of different bench arrangements over the years.
