R11 Panthers v Dragons - Game Day Thread

I hope the dragons play like that next week. Might be able to test the warriors.

I missed the pre game if there was one. Noticed tago started though. I think I liked it, was there any known reason?

Dragons played well, wouldn’t be 0 and 10 if they play like that every week.

I was a little nervous about this game. Even during our 2020 onwards times, we have still at times lost to a team that is well below us, and playing a team playing their GF is always dangerous. And then the rain that at times is our Achilles heel.
Add in that it was a big week with IC’s announcement, speculation about post 2027 roster and SOO selection, all possible distractions.

We played OK, but not at our best. At times we seem to become bored and need to try a trick play or take the easy option, which is not what we want when the whips are cracking. The weather took away our fast spread option, which limited opportunities.
The dragons tried hard, with them having some big hard runners that take some tackling. That’s their game, but with them not having won a game since what, July or August, it’s not a winning formula.
Just loving how Moses goes about his work. On the Garner try, just watch his effort off the ball to run through the line, dragging in Flanaghan & giving Luke a run through to score. Most people don’t even notice these types of efforts.

A break for most next week and then a big game against the ‘worriers’.

This and Papalii is playing out of his skin, but not getting the accolades they deserve. I was also happy with Lindsay Smith working off the back of Moses, finally he has stopped the ball playing and is running hard.
