Bit of a danger game this one. A few weeks ago I would have thought this was an easy 2 points. But Des Hasler is holding on by just a thread.
They played well last week and got over the line, and there is more spirit than I have seen from the Titans in past weeks. Playing Penrith this week, they will be out with a point to prove.
Jersey Flegg change for today (from NSWRL site): Penrith Panthers v Kaiviti Silktails has now been moved to the Penrith Panthers Academy, kicking off from 3pm today.
The Dolphins have made today’s encounter a little more interesting, with the Dolphins defeating the Warriors this week a win over the Titans puts us a point away from the Top 4.
Very lucky to win. I think we were poor in the early stages of the first half and disappointing in the second half. Thank goodness for what may be one of the best field goals ever.
The trainer who ran in front of the Campbell kicking the goal needs to be severely reprimanded. At this level it is not acceptable and it reflects very very poorly on the club.
Lack of respect for the titans in that second half. Played like the game was over in the first half. They must know that all teams lift to try and beat the 4 time premiers. Good that they lifted in the last few minutes.
That must have been close to the worst half of a game this season. Absolute ill discipline. I found it hard to pick three MoMs. It was so disrespectful to the opposition. It reminded me of the bad old days, when Penrith would lead at half time, then completely switch off. My confidence of a top 4 finish has been severely dented, after that display. Even the commentators wanted Gold Coast to win.
I hope that Yeo hasn’t injured his shoulder too badly.
Interestingly, in the past this forum has seen much criticism of Badger as a ref (well deserved, most likely). But today she overturned two crappy calls from the ref. He didn’t help our cause with those calls, and with some of his second half calls.
