Panthers Head Coach Ivan Cleary has revised his squad for Friday night’s clash with the Warriors at Go Media Stadium.

Jack Cogger has been ruled out as he did not travel with the team to New Zealand due to the impending birth of his child.

Cole to start at 5/8, Talagi on the bench. I’m assuming it’s based on Cole’s defence being better than Talagi’s. Good move, imho.

Should be a tough game, hope we can get a win.

To be fair it wasn’t that any of our team played badly, it was just that the warrior were up for it and played their grand final intensity which we didn’t.

Yeo probably Out for the season. We badly need Edwards, Kenny and Garner back.

Not much more to be said. Cogger back next week (and hopefully Edwards) will make a difference.

Love how the Fox commentary made a big deal of Smiths forward pass, yet made no mention of the blatant forward pass one tackle before the warriors second try.

Another game where the opponents played probably their best game of the season. This shouldn’t apply next week.

The 1^st Metcalfe try was from a forward pass (imho), but not even looked at by Fox or the officials.

Martin’s marginal offside, that cost us a good chance of an unlikely win, was just another case of no attention to detail. This has crept into our games in the second half of this season, and is something that we have seen little of for most of the past 6 years. Smith’s offside at the last restart was equally unacceptable. Unless we find a way to low-error, patient football, the year might continue to nosedive.

We seemed to lose most of the marginal calls in the early stages of the match, and it’s hard to recover in such intense games.

The Alamoti sin-binning was an egregious overreach by the ref. Even the Wah-loving FoxSports aired such an evaluation.

We are starting to experience injury adversity to a level we’re not really used to - Kenny, McLean, Edwards, Garner and now Yeo. This is particularly damaging to our spine. Our once unassailable pathway to the minor premiership now seems to hang on next week’s result.

Despite getting absolutely smashed for 60 minutes, we were on track to somehow snatch victory from the claws of defeat until Martin got pinged for being offside.

Sadly it’s not the first time in recent history and so I agree with your comments Faulco.

There is some positives from the game, but clear work to be done.
