Good arm wrestle so far. I get the feeling one break or bounce of the ball will decide the game.

A good start, we have to just keep up our intensity.

we haven’t been getting the rub of the green again, so have to win this comprehensively.

these high intensity games will hold us in good stead come the finals

Golden point again🤦‍♂️

Hopefully we learned from the mistakes of last week.

I am dumbfounded , well rugby league is a funny game

Kind of but not really. It was the same mistakes as last week that put us in GP.

Even at the end there, just grab him. Unlikely ref blows a penalty for a tackle in the air like that in that situation

This one hurt. A very remote chance the ball hits the post and bounces back in field but the Panthers usually have such scenarios covered. Good reminders for the finals I suppose.

Quote - “Good reminder for the finals, I suppose”. If we reach the finals, that is. We might yet finish 9th. Same as last week; we shot ourselves in the foot, when we needed to play low risk footy.

What was Leota thinking; so far offside at the kickoff?

Edwards had another bunch of errors?

Yeo came on as a welcome return to the side, then promptly gave away a penalty and lost the ball.

The Cleary-Tago side continues to struggle with communication or confidence in each other.

I think we have a few players who are looking tired. With us almost certainly having to play from the bottom of the 8 now, it might be worth resting as many as possible against the Dragons if we are assured of being in the finals, so that we can go in as fresh as possible,

Turns out they could have tackled him in the air - it’s not the same rules as going up for a kick. Even the players are confused what you can do to someone caching the ball now. Still doesn’t excuse the loss - should have just tackled him.

Or is the team setting up for the greatest GF comeback in rugby league history? Stay in the 8 and then just win all 4 finals games. Too easy.

A lot of people of FB have very short memories. I remember the years cheering on the team when they lost more games than they won. Now that they narrowly lost to the 2 top teams on the ladder in GP, it is the end of the world. People should be thankful for the success that they have had in the last 5 years.

With Manly beating Dolphins, we are now locked in for finals.

History beckons. Rest the team for the next 2 weeks, then win 4 on the trot, mission accomplished.

Definitely worth considering. But I will leave those decisions to the maestro.
