Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has updated his squad for Friday night’s Round 25 clash with Canberra Raiders at Glen Willow Regional Sports Complex in Mudgee.
The Panthers will wear the 2025 Home Jersey for the match.
UPDATE: It has been reported that Isaah Yeo will play tonight.
This one hurt. A very remote chance the ball hits the post and bounces back in field but the Panthers usually have such scenarios covered. Good reminders for the finals I suppose.
Quote - “Good reminder for the finals, I suppose”. If we reach the finals, that is. We might yet finish 9th. Same as last week; we shot ourselves in the foot, when we needed to play low risk footy.
What was Leota thinking; so far offside at the kickoff?
Edwards had another bunch of errors?
Yeo came on as a welcome return to the side, then promptly gave away a penalty and lost the ball.
The Cleary-Tago side continues to struggle with communication or confidence in each other.
I think we have a few players who are looking tired. With us almost certainly having to play from the bottom of the 8 now, it might be worth resting as many as possible against the Dragons if we are assured of being in the finals, so that we can go in as fresh as possible,
Turns out they could have tackled him in the air - it’s not the same rules as going up for a kick. Even the players are confused what you can do to someone caching the ball now. Still doesn’t excuse the loss - should have just tackled him.
A lot of people of FB have very short memories. I remember the years cheering on the team when they lost more games than they won. Now that they narrowly lost to the 2 top teams on the ladder in GP, it is the end of the world. People should be thankful for the success that they have had in the last 5 years.
