Just got to sign Yeo for 2022 and we essentially keep our pack in order

Can’t say I know much about him, but as a centre he gives us some options in what is possibly our only yet to be settled position.

Crighton has his spot confirmed but on the other side we have the choice of;

Naden- can he put his demons behind him and recover his form?
May- while covered the position ok didn’t set the world on fire.
Whare - hasn’t been at his best for a few years and isn’t getting any younger.
Burton - largely untested in the position and moving on next year.
Capewell- the dark horse based on past years state of origin. Could balance the side with our 2nd row spots taken and bench spots at a premium.

I think we are getting the better end of the Momirovski-Laurie swap. Momirovski spent most of last year in the Melbourne system, and would have learnt a lot. Laurie is pretty much untested in first grade, although he has shown some talent in the lower grades.

Agree Mutley, I am happy with the exchange, as SHF has pointed out, we NEEDED a real centre to compliment Crichton, I doubt Nado will see alot of 1st grade. An attitude adjustment should be first and foremost on his agenda.

Now that is a good move - Don’t get me wrong, I really like Deano, but from a footy perspective, his day was done for the Pennies. Goood luck to him over there, is this Maloney’s team?

Isaah Yeo - Another 3 years Yeeeeeooooooo

I particularly like the first two comments on this thread - prescient or what?

For the first time in a long time, it really looks like we are getting our house in order.

Not sure i am happy with all the movements of players but that is football in 2021
Agree some needed to go and there are others like Burton i guess we will never know what they may have done at the Panthers.
Plenty of pressure on the whole club to go 1 better then we did last year and i am not convinced yet we can with who we have retained.

Still think we are short a high quality centre and a mongrel forward who can hit in attack and defence.

All the other clubs will have gone to school on our game over the summer break and will have looked at how to break us down in defence and to nullify our attack.

Also not a fan of this 2 captains ( in our instance) or leadership groups or whatever incarnation they present as, me, i like a Team Captain and that is 1 and 1 only

I guess we will all know soon enough and despite what many will say about combinations coming together and players being rusty, we will need to produce from Game 1

On the surface there should be some much improved teams like Warriors, Broncos,Cowboys,Dragons,Titans and Bulldogs, all with plenty of pressure to show what they have got.

Makes for an exciting first few rounds
