This one worries me. I think we are the better team - player wise, but the tactics from Bennett might be better than the tactics from Cleary.

Tactics from Cleary, forwards up the middle, field position, make them work getting out of their own end…rinse and repeat.

We have no problem scoring points.

:mega: Team Lists and Officials have been added here.

No huge changes to the team lists this week.

â–® TELSTRA PREMIERSHIP

Kurt Capewell (12) returns this week from missing last week due to concussion protocal.
Liam Martin (17) returns to the bench for Capewell.
Paul Momirovski (21) returns from suspension in the extended squad.

â–® K.O.E NSW CUP

Eddie Blacker (17) returns from injury

I know which wing I’d kick and run at this weekend.

From our point of view or theirs Puss?

Are you suggesting you’ve found a weakness

with a certain winger who played with Panthers as recently as last season and made ground? running backwards. :upside_down_face: or sideways but rarely forward.

hmmm interesting observation, I would have thought you steer clear of someone who will want to impress his team mates by having a blinder against his former club.

We would be best to focus on our process than an individual. I hate the talk of Latrell and keep thinking to myself, we should test out how fit he is by kicking early and making him do all the work, he will tire badly after 25 minutes…but is it wise to poke the bear?

Edwards and Leota both out (minor hamstring for Edwards, Leota with a sore shoulder).

Cleary snr has named Momo at fullback, Eisenhuth starting prop, and Spencer on the bench.

Iterating thing is we obtained an exsempion for Robert Jennings to come into the squad.

Why would we do that if we weren’t going to use him?

Edward a huge loss. Options for Momo as listed (unlikely) Critta to Fullback, or Jennings on the wing for Staines to go back to fullback.

I know which one I would go for

I agree. Hard match ahead. Leota and Edwards will both be missed.

Leota is a loss but Edwards imo is a huge loss.
Shame but was only reflecting recently how well we have fared with injuries and you have to expect them but sadly for this contest
My focus its still on the sin bins/send offs and my tactic would be the engage Mitchell in the niggle, he hates to be ruffled and when he does he gives away penalties and would be my candidate to be sin binned and or sent off.

This is shaping as a real test and will be a good game to really measure where we are at as a team and as Premiership contenders.

Our team is as good as it gets but alas, SOO and changing the rules
half way isn’t helping anyone. Why don’t Vlandy’s and company bugger off and play X-box, and leave the real NRL fan to enjoy the game.

i don’t have a problem with the “rule” enforcement but talk about problems and bias.
If anyone watched the Roosters V Broncos game would have seen Bradley on report 3 times and sin binned twice yet Lodge cops a charge for a slap which was on the chest and got sin binned for 10 minutes

Talk about a bias…like i said i have no problems with the rule enforcement but it raises the question who instructed the refs NOT to enforce the rules previously?

and it is this “bias” which has me worried tomorrow, i believe Souths will get all the 50 / 50 calls go their way and we will get hit hard for anything and everything.

Hope i am wrong and the best team wins on effort.

Refereeing in the Broncos v Roosters was up amongst the worst I have ever seen. Hopefully our referee tomorrow doesn’t try to outdo it

I feel like Luai has been fairly quiet the last few weeks. He seems to play better depending on the occasion. It doesn’t get much bigger than a top 4 showdown against souths. Bunnies will put plenty of pressure on Cleary, i think its time for Jarome to stand up tomorrow afternoon.

It’s also the battle for the #6 NSW Jersey. If we lose this game, there are excuses with a couple players out. When we win though, its gonna be a bloody good feeling!

Crighton now named at fullback, Momo in the centres, Martin starting at Prop, Spencer on the bench
