So, should this unwanted move occur, are our possible options to lure back Luai, Katoa or Jett Cleary?
News is that Payne Haas is being shopped around. Sounds like his time at the Bronco might be coming to an end. Would be an amazing pickup for Penrith if they were interested.
Was just watching 100% footy and they mentioned that Penrith might be looking at getting Tyrell Sloan to the club.
I think he could be an absolute weapon for us, but I have no idea as to whose spot he would take? Not to mention all of the outside backs we currently have in reserve grade.
What’s everyone else thinking?
No thanks - Speed yes, but he is anything but structure, we are looking for the complete player, speed with the ability to withstand pressure.
Sloan is certainly not someone who came to mind for us to sign.
If IC thinks he has potential to be a backup for Dylan, then I would support him - he has a pretty good strike rate with signings of players in recent times. I don’t see many players getting better in the dragons system - he has speed, but not much in defence or positional play.
Not sure of the plans for Dane Laurie - looks a star in NSW Cup & has had some good games filling in for Edwards, but I have to admit I always am nervous when he plays - a real rocks & diamonds players
Over to IC and his brainstrust.
Might need to lure Iongi back from the Eels.
2 minutes into the chooks v dragons game & it’s a hell no from me
OK, another few mins & back to a maybe I guess
OK, last comment on this I promise. Another few minutes in & his opposition winger has just walked by him for another try, so I’m back to hell no on him. He needs to find a sport where you are only on the field when you’re team has the ball ie No Defence Just kicking myself I didn’t back Tupou to score 3+ tries
I’m with you on a hell no. I would send a laugh emoji at you but they’ve disappeared
The Mole is reporting that Mav Geyer has signed with the Tigers. No confirmation form either club as yet.
That would have to be one of the worst moves a player could make.
Unless it’s just a one year deal till he moves to Perth lol.
I believe it’s a one year deal.
I think we all have been waiting for Mav to knock the door down and lock-in a spot in the NRL squad. Since making his debut, from memory, in the last round game against the cows in '22(?) when we rested all 17 ‘firsts’ players, he has not really made a compelling case & had found himself passed by others.
I actually was thinking about his future, and that perhaps the bears may be an option for him. Not sure of his personal situation in regards of a move to that other country on the west of our continent, but he’s at a time in his life where he needs to kick-on or perhaps he’ll need a career change.
A year at the tiges will do nothing for him as far as I’m concerned, except maybe increase his NRL game numbers by a few, but I wish him nothing but the best going forward.
That’ll make 3 Penrith halfbacks that they’ve signed up. How many will they grab before they are satisfied?
I have heard the that we are poised to ge Cogger back, best backup for Nath (at the money)
Not sure how to feel about either moves…damn the dolphins.
